OUR STORY

The name Newark holds an important place in Canadian history. Newark, was the first capital of Upper Canada and the birthplace of our nation's provincial parliament.On September 17, 1792, Colonel John Graves Simcoe opened the first provincial parliament in Newark. We chose this name to pay homage to our Canadian roots.

Here at Newark Brewing, we're inspired by history. Traditional Belgian and German styles influence our brews, and we’re always working on mastering them. Swing by our brewery to try our selection of beers crafted with care.

Community plays an important role here at Newark Brewing. We’re proud to be a part of the Beamsville community and the gorgeous Niagara Peninsula. We’re also proud to be a part of the Welland Jackfish Baseball and Toronto Rock communities as their official craft beer!

OUR HISTORY

After several years of brewing study and travel throughout Europe, we began our journey.

Newark originated as a virtual brewery in late 2018, and we proudly made our first batch in early 2019.

By early 2022, we found a brick-and-mortar home for Newark Brewery in Beamsville, ON. A few months later, we opened to the public. Since then, we’ve been welcoming beer and food lovers into our fully equipped kitchen, taproom and beer garden.
